We introduced Brayden to painting.......he did a wonderful job painting a picture and himself.
First Homework
Wow how times have changed, homework in kindergarten. School has definetely changed over the years. I remember kindergarten as letter people, snacks and coloring, I think we started learning to read towards the end of the year. Now kindergarten is reading and writing stations, they even have art, music, gym, and library time. Hunter went to preschool for 2 years, and school was still a huge shock to his system, I think it took almost 2 months for him to adjust (we did have 1 or 2 days in the red, but he is so social that it gets in trouble for talking too much). You get report cards in kindergarten now, we had to go to parent teacher conferences to receive those. He is doing well though and can now read about 30 words.
This was his first homework..........its amazing how much better his drawing and writing has gotten in 2 months.

Introducing Gabby
Back in September, Danny thought that Bo was becoming too laid back, so why not get a puppy to make him more lively. Gabby was born on July 4th and she is a brindle boxer.

Holiday World 2009
We went to Holiday World back in September with Phillip and Taylor. This was Hunter's second visit this summer, but our first. The kids had a blast, and Brayden did much better then expected. I didn't put him on many rides because I feared that he would get up in the middle of it. Hunter was disappointed that he couldn't ride any roller coasters, but he will definetely be tall enough to go next year. I can't wait then we will have Brayden screaming because he can't go on them yet.

Blue panda stripe
After Hunter's first week of kindergarten, I almost wished that I had not signed him up for this test. He was very cranky and emotional all week. I can definetly say that kindergarten has been rough on him. He is slowly adjusting though, and I know he will have a great year once he adjusts to things.........all day is hard on them. He didn't want to work on his terminology and rules for taekwondo all week. Anyways he did great today at his test, and we are so proud of you. Thanks to my sister for watching Brayden so that I could actually watch Hunter.

Sleepy
First day of Kindergarten
Hunter started kindergarten yesterday. The day started off rough, we live 5 minutes from the elementary school, so you would think that leaving the house 25 minutes before school was to start would get you there on time, WRONG. I don't know who planned for the Harrison county schools to all be on the same street, but it was not a wise decision. The elementary, intermediate, middle and high school are all on the same road, so on the first day of school talk about a major line of traffic. Not to mention that Danny wanted take Hunter to school with me and he has still not totally recovered from Bronchitis so he was cranky sitting in traffic, and Brayden was not happy either. We finally made it, I think we were 10 minutes late, but so was half the school. We signed in at the office and we were able to walk him to his class. He was such a big boy, walked in no problem. About 1 I got a phone call, I see corydon elementary on my phone, my heart skips a beat for a minute. I had to run up to the school, only took me 5 minutes this time, help Hunter for a moment, then back in the car and back home. At this point I'm glad that I don't work. Then at about 2:15 me and Brayden load back up in the car to go get Hunter, after the morning trip I didn't want to be late picking him up. When I arrive at the school I notice all the cars lining up in 9 different rows, I have no idea which one I am supposed to be in, so I picked the first one, atleast then I could hopefully see him come out of school. It was also 90+ degrees yesterday as we sat in the parking lot waiting for them. Finally I see that the teachers bring the kids out and walk them down the rows of cars till that get to there car. The first 3 rows are for kindergarten so I got lucky and actually parked in the right row. We continued to sit for about 20 more minutes after Hunter got in the car, cause you have to wait for all the kids to get to there car K-3rd grade. He told me that he didn't like school this year because they don't get to play.........he did manage to not get in troble all day though.
Waiting to leave.
