Halloween on the Square
Tonight was halloween on the square in corydon. They have all kinds of things for kids to do pretty much all day. There were bouncies and the big inflatable slides, there was a little haunted tent, there is a big parade that goes through downtown. After the parade, the kids can trick or treat at the stores in and around the square. It was pretty chilly so we only made it through about half of the parade before we headed home.

What a week
Hunter has been home from preschool all this week on fall break. It's preschool do they really need a fall break. I think the tuition should be reduced on months like this. The month of December they have 3 weeks off for christmas break, I don't remember having that much time off when I was in school. Anyways, I have finally convinced Brayden to give up two of his bottles during the day. I had to buy one of the Dr. Brown training cups, since he really doesn't drink well from the other sippy cups. He started walking on wednesday. I tried getting it on video, but everytime he sees me with it, he drops down and crawls. He has also started climbing a lot more then Hunter ever did at this age, of course this is about when Hunter broke his collarbone (I think that scared him a little, he stopped being such a daredevil then). He climbs up on the couch now and up on his toybox. Here are some pics from our week. Oh by the way our insurance adjuster finally made it out last night to look at our roof last night (it's only been a month since we made the claim from the wind storm, wonder how long it will actually take now to get someone to fix it.)

My best shot at trying to get pics of brayden walking

Brotherly Love
Biggest Halloween Party
Last night we went to the Louisville Zoo for trick or treating. This is the first year that we went. It was fun for the kids, Hunter really isn't all that into the getting candy, but he participated. He is I think the only child that doesn't really eat candy. He brought it home and I guess he had about 10 things, he ate one. Any other child would have devoured it all. There was even one spot that was giving away cokes I could not even force Hunter to get one. I guess he will be the healthy eating one, Brayden is going to be the sugar junkie.
Hunter resting his legs. He was so tired.
I had someone say look at the octopus. I have never seen a picture of a black octopus.
AAWWWW......how cute.

My boys
Just a couple of pictures from over the weekend.
Hunter has found a new obsession (Daddy's cowboy hat). Wherever we go, he thinks that he has to wear it now. He has now started to worry about whether or not he thinks he looks cool.
For some strange reason Brayden now all of a sudden actually likes the walker. I figured that would happen since I'm about to get rid of it.
Halloween Cookies
Saturday while Danny was deer hunting and Brayden was taking a nap, I decided to let Hunter help me make some Halloween cookies. I really don't know why we made them, cause no one in the house really likes sugar cookies, but we had fun doing it.
Here are the ones that I did.
Hunter decorating the cookies. Good picture of the pirate tattoo on his arm.
This could have gotten really messy, but he was very good at the decorating.
Here is the ghost that he decorated.
Here is the scary cat. This is all that he did.

Deere Farms
Today Hunter's preschool class had there first field trip, we went to the pumpkin patch at Deere Farms in Lanesville. We got to partially go through the corn maze so that the kids could have a slightly educational course on corn (how in depth can you go with 4 year olds). Then they got to jump around in the bouncy and play in the hay bale maze.........all the kids just climbed the stacks. At the end we got to ride the wagon to the pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin.
Hunter found a worm while in the pumpkin patch here he is analyzing it.
They had a big pipe going down the hill that the kids could slide down.

Here is Hunter sticking his head through the pumpkin sign.

Brayden taking it all in while on the wagon riding to the pumpkin patch.
Here are the boys with the pumpkins. Glad we picked a small one for Brayden, because Hunter was carrying the worm so he couldn't help me carry the pumpkins for fear of squishing the worm. The worm ended up getting squished later on.

Pancakes
Brayden had his first pancakes for breakfast today, he loved them. We have also started mixing Similac Sensitive in with his bottles, he is up to 2 ounces of that now. It doesn't seem as though it will be a milk protein allergy, he could be lactose intolerant.

Rest assured the the highchair was sprayed with clorox anywhere spray when bo got done.
Chowing on the pancakes.

It was a little messy, so Bo cleaned it up for us.

Halloween costumes
Over the weekend, we went and picked out the boys halloween costumes. Hunter wanted to be something scary this year, he originally wanted to be lord lucifer. However since he does go to a church preschool I didn't figure it would be a good idea to send him as that so we had to pick something a bit more toned down and not satan like. We saw the shark costume online and Hunter finally agreed to it. Evidently it is a popular costume this year, we had to have the last one in his size put on hold at Pottery Barn. When we went to pick it up the woman told me that a guy called from Alaska looking for it.

Brayden the little spider.

Hunter the Big Scary Shark.
We also purchased the matching shark candy bag.
