Breaking Boards

Tonight at Hunter's Karate class, he got to break a board with his fist. The look on his face after he did it was priceless, he put his arms up to show his muscles after he did (eventhough the instructor kept telling him to get in the fighting stance). One of those moments that makes you so proud of them.

Playing in the snow

Thursday we went in the backyard to play in the snow. This was Brayden's first time to get to play in the snow. He just stood in the same spot for the longest time like he was afraid to move, or maybe he was frozen. Finally he started walking around, but everytime he fell down he would just cry, he is not a big fan of the snow touching his clothes.

I think I'm frozen.

Sledding at B-maws

Wednesday we ventured out for a few hours of sledding fun at Danny's parents house. Hunter had a great time, although walking back up that big hill wasn't that much fun. Danny had to pull him up a few times on the sled, and I think Hunter even talked him into putting him on his shoulders a few times. Uncle Phillip, Carrie, and Taylor were there also. Hunter and Taylor had so much fun going down the hill together eventhough a few times the sled turned around on them and the ended up going down backwards. Hunter slept well that night.

Hunter's first solo trip down the hill.

Do I really have to walk up this hill?

I think Danny and Phillip had more fun then the kids.

Watching a movie

Last night the boys were watching Tarzan together, it was so cute the two of them together.

Eatin' Spaghetti

No doubt about it, Brayden loves to eat. He will eat almost anything that you put in front of him. Having a child that eats like this is a new experience for us since Hunter is so picky. I think Hunter could live on pop tarts and jelly sandwiches for the rest of his life if we let him.

Tubes

We had our ENT appointment today. Hunter is now down to 1 tube the right one has now fallen out after 2 years, and if the other one doesn't fall out this year then it will have to be removed. Brayden will be receiving his ear tubes on February 12th. I hope it goes better then it did when Hunter got his, he cried the 45 minute ride home from the surgery center saying his ears hurt, then when we pulled into the driveway he threw up in the car.

Finally........

Brayden went and saw our pediatrician yesterday. He said that the right ear looked horrible, and that the eardrum had ruptured, which I already knew since he woke up on Sunday morning with a crusty ear. He finally referred us to the ENT. Hunter already had an appointment for today with them, so they were kind enough to squeeze them in together. So we are fianlly one step closer to tubes for Brayden.

5 out of 6

We are getting closer to that 6 ear infections in a year (5 infections in the past 6 months). We spent 5 hours at the clark memorial urgent care center on Saturday. Some may say, were they that busy?, No. We were being seen for 5 hours. When we got there Brayden had a temp of 104 and they could not get it to come down. He looked absolutely miserable, one of the nurses said that there were several people that were in the waiting room with us that kept asking if he was ok. He received 2 doses of tylenol, a dose of motrin and a shot of rocephin before his temp started to come down enough where they were comfortable letting us leave. We also had blood work (cbc, blood culture), and a chest xray done while we were there. We should know the results of those tomorrow since he has to be rechecked by our pediatrician tomorrow...........hopefully he will refer us to the ear, nose, and throat doctor. He also got put on omnicef our favorite antibiotic because of the wonderful side effects. Good thing we just got diapers at sams, cause we will definetly be going through them this week.

Little Dragons

Tonight was Hunter's first karate class. He got in a fight and kicked ass! It was blood, guts, and broken bones! Hunter can break bricks with his head. If you need a good ass-kickin , call Hunter..................Danny always makes fun of what I write so the above was written by him. Hunter did do really well, and maybe someday he really will be able to break bricks with his head. However there was no fighting tonight as the class is only made up of 4-6 year olds, it is really cute watching them for the 20 minutes that I got to see before Brayden lost his mind and I took him home while Danny stayed with Hunter. I will try to post more pictures at his next class on Friday.

Another bath

Brayden loves bathtime so much that if the boys are taking a bath together, and Brayden gets out first, you have to make sure he doesn't get back in before Hunter gets out. Well tonight was the first time that he was successful at making it back in fully clothed in his pajamas.

Poor Spiderman

Every once in a while I will enter Hunter's room and just ask myself what happened. This was however, "What did Spiderman do to deserve this?"

Spiderman handcuffed, a bag over his head, and his arms and legs tied together.
Where did he see this?

Bringing in the New Year

Since Danny has re-entered the service world at work, we have had to accept the pager back into our lives every other week. So when he got a page at 11pm on New years eve.....I accepted the fact that we would not be bringing in the new year together. I had fallen asleep when he got the page though. So me, Hunter and Brayden brought in the new year together...........all of us asleep. While Danny brought it in with an older couple while he restored heat to there house.

Hunter asleep well before midnight

Christmas Day

A little behind, but here are a few pics of christmas morning. I really didn't have many pictures, too much excitement from the boys, so I didn't get to take many pictures. I think Hunter ripped through all his presents in about 5 minutes and there were quite a few. Brayden didn't really care much this year so Hunter opened his presents for him.
