Memorial Weekend at Lake Cumberland

Saturday after Hunter's last soccer game we traveled down to Lake Cumberland to Danny's parents houseboat. It was wonderful getting away, but it reaffirmed that Brayden is not ready for houseboating yet. He did good Saturday, then Sunday was lots of screaming, due to over-exhaustion and not wanting to take a nap. He finally fell asleep when we took the pontoon out. Then there was more screaming when he was not allowed to get on all the other houseboats. We took many walks up and down the docks, he was a wild man all weekend. He did enjoy getting in the lake though even though the water was cold. Hunter on the other hand was wonderful, 5 is a good age...........all houseboating weekends will be Danny and Hunter solo this year.

My baby has now graduated from preschool. I can't believe that he will be in kindergarten next year. They had a little ceremony for them, and they got to wear caps, they all looked so cute. Here are some pictures that I got, most of my pictures turned out dark due to the lighting of the place. Hopefully my dads pictures turned out better than mine.

18 month check up

Brayden had his 18 month check up today. While I have been concerned with the fact that he does not talk other than, momma, dada, and na na for his pacifier, the doctor pretty much just told me that we would watch him. A speech therapist can't do a good evaluation until they are about 2 1/2. I figure he will talk when he is ready, and why should he talk, Hunter knows what he wants so Brayden doesn't have to tell us. The doctor told me that we shouldn't worry yet as long as he understands what we are telling him. Brayden has jumped out of the 50th percentile for height and weight since he now weighs 27 pounds and is 32 inches tall. He got 1 shot and never even flinched or cried, Hunter wouldn't stay in the room he stood out in the hallway (he has a fear of needles). I can't believe that he is already 18 months old, or that I have now not had a job for 18 months............well a paying on that is. I wouldn't trade it, I love each and everyday that I have with them.
