Getting better....

Friday night we took Brayden to the clark memorial urgent care center...........2 days after the first cough and sign of fever. He was diagnosed with Bronchitis/early pneumonia........on the good side though his flu test was negative. So in the past week between both children we have had 2 pediatrician visits, 1 immediate care center visit, 1 ER visit (because of Brayden's labored breathing saturday night), 2 flu tests (1 positive and 1 negative), 1 RSV test (negative), 2 prescriptions of Zithromax, 1 prescription of cough medicine, 2 chest x-rays, 1 followup chest xray for Hunter in 6 weeks, and a followup pediatrician visit after the chest xray. There could also have followup visits for Brayden also, but I won't know that till I talk to his pediatrician tomorrow. How do the Duggars afford 18 childen when they get sick?

When it rains............it pours.

Friday night after Hunter's taekwondo class he came home running a fever and coughing. I didn't really think much of it since he was complaining a little about his ear hurting, I thought he probably was starting with an ear infection or just a cold or virus.........WRONG. He ran the fever all weekend so we went to the doctor Monday. He tested positive for flu and they did a chest xray and he also has pneumonia (fast moving 2 days flu to pneumonia). His fever finally broke yesterday, but he is still having coughing fits so bad that he gags and throws up...........3 times on me so far. Also last night Brayden started the same thing. Hopefully his won't go the same route. There was a girl in Hunter's preschool class who had flu and pneumonia also and it was a strain that is resistant to flu shot. I have cleaned the house so much this week that I don't know how there are still any germs in it.............I hope they both get better fast, I got 2 hours of sleep last night between dealing with them both.

Hunter had his first test last night at taekwondo. He did really well considering they had to get up in front of everyone and say certain things and demonstrate different kicks and blocks. Last he had to do a foot stomp to break a board, he did it. All he keeps saying is that he wants to get 6 stripes, we are 1 step closer now.

Ear Tubes

Brayden had his tubes put in on Thursday. Everything went wonderful, the doctor even cleaned up the right eardrum where it had ruptured with his last ear infection. Brayden was so relaxed while we were waiting for them to take him back that they didn't even have to give him the happy juice so there was no drunken Brayden. Hopefully they will stay in as long as Hunter's have and we won't have to have them put back in. There was a girl there getting her 5th set of tubes.

Great Wolf Lodge

Last weekend we packed up spur of the moment and went to great wolf lodge in mason ohio. The kids had a great time at the water park, and Hunter even became a master magi while playing the magiquest game on the 3rd and 4th floor of the lodge. The place was wonderful it was completely designed around kids so hunter was occupied the whole time. Next time that we go we will stay longer then 2 nights though. Our room was wonderful it had a seperate little room built in for the kids with bunkbeds and there own tv. At the water park I pretty much stayed in the little kid area with Brayden while Danny ran around the rest of it with Hunter who was completely exhausted by the time that we left. He even came home and took a nap for 3 hours when we got home. It was a wonderful weekend, we needed to get away. Oh and I forgot the digital camera when we left so all of these were taken with a disposable camera, I think out of the 48 that we took only about 15 of them were worth having them developed. Oh how I missed my camera.
